In-person modality
Participants are required to attend in person and follow the current Los Angeles Department of Public Health guidelines for the prevention of COVID 19.
Course description
This course provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, prevention and abatement of safety and health hazards in construction industry. This program also provides information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, including resources inside the workplace.
Learning objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe worker’s rights and employer’s responsibilities
- Identify OSHA Standards applicable to specific hazardous conditions
- Recognize common hazards associated with construction work
- Describe the various types of personal protective equipment (PPE) available
- Identify various hazards associated with construction work
- Describe safety resources available in the workplace
At the conclusion of the class, each participant will take a written examination.
Note: A 10 Hour OSHA Completion card is issued within 10 business days of completing the training. A temporary certificate can be issued for workers who need to show proof of completion.
